That is one of the reasons why I have so much respect for Independent Artists, and the fact that I'm a writer gives Indie Authors and Small Indie Presses a special place in my heart. Recently, my dear friend Marcia Colette ventured into the world of self-publishing. "Bittersweet", a young adult paranormal novel, is her first indie baby. Marcia is traditionally published too, as some of you might remember from my Reviews of "Half Breed" and its prequel, "Stripped". Marcia is a mother and a writer with a fulltime day job; knowing she is juggling all these things makes me feel SOOO proud of her!I started reading more indie authors because of Marcia. I'm grateful, for I've found magnificent tales and talents. I was looking for ways to show her just how much I celebrate her efforts, and the other day her interview at Indie Paranormal Book Reviews nudged me toward this idea: I want to celebrate your dedication, my dear Marcia, by recognizing authors who have the spirit to birth and sell their words the same way you do.Yes, I Indie books, especially if the tales they tell show Witchy bits! These are the indie works I've read since January 2011. If you have self-published work-especially stories with witchy characters in it-read my post on How to Request a Book Review and I'll be wicked glad to read you, review you, and list you.Share
