How Do I Become A Wiccan

How Do I Become A Wiccan
by Rose AriadnePractitioners of Wicca often may not tell you the reason why they decided to follow the Craft. It is not an easy decision for many who have had to face the opposition of family and friends. However, once they have made a decision, nothing can deter them from becoming a Wiccan practitioner. In a sense, we are all born witches. Witchcraft is nothing but the belief in the power of nature. As children, we are in awe with nature, its beauty and it power. As we grow up, we lose that awareness, that knowledge of the infinite. All things in nature, including animate and inanimate things, has the same energy or life-force coursing through them. When anything is dissected as many times as possible, what do we see? Atoms An atom is the basic unit of everything we see. Whether it's the air, the water, the wind, a mountain or human beings, all of it consists of atoms arranged in different ways. We can understand very easily that the origin of all things in nature is the same; that is the basis of witchcraft. Being a witch is inherently in our nature. We don't have to do anything special to be a witch. However, the Wicca religion has refined the process further so that all practitioners will have some rules in common. Wicca is the largest of the new-pagan religions. Wiccan practitioners live all over the world. An idea or practice can be called a religion only when it has a defined set of rules. Wicca religion has one main rule: Do whatever you think is right without harming anybody or anything. Although this rule seems very easy to put into practice, there are many ways in which you can hurt another human being without really plotting to do so. Since Wiccans use their minds to create their future, they have to think deeply before visualizing their future as it may affect others negatively. The moment we decide that the magick of the Universe is the only power that we need to be concerned with, is the moment that we realize we are witches. It is almost like an electric charge coursing through your veins and thrilling your very core. When you understand that most of the brainwash that has been handed over to you through generations about a male God and how HE creates, controls, manipulates and then judges everyone, you realize that all of this dogma needs to be rewritten. Or maybe you realize that each of us is capable of taking care of ourselves and living a good life, with respect for nature and all other beings in the world, animate and inanimate without worshipping any unseen entities. Rose Ariadne has been practicing ancient forms of Witchcraft for over 25 years. Get more info about Wiccan here: http://www.askroseariadne.com/editorials/4 how-do-i-become-a-wiccan.html
