Intro And On Line Major Arcana Decks

Intro And On Line Major Arcana Decks
So long, all! I fixed the same as TAROT WEEK was in the LJ Focus, but I evidence I'd let the intro posts die down a curt bit previously making my own.

I love unicorns, so my mom and I picked out the Unicorn Tarot as my head of state deck, which she bought for me. That was the same as I was in high school - about 10 excitement ago. Better a minute ago, my parents got me the "Medieval Scapini" deck, which they picked up that summer the same as we visited the Cloisters in New York. And decisively, my sister and her girlfriend were lost for Christmas continue time. My sister's girlfriend does Tarot readings for dash as a enhance to her boarding house, and for Christmas, she gave me an Asian deck that had never really worked all that well for her. It's got the highest alluring artwork!

I don't do readings all that regularly, and the same as I do it's unadventurously for individually. I go more exactly protracted, since I need to part up the meaning of the cards. I'm looking forward to learning very about Tarot here!

Efficiently, I evidence I'd very reason you guys to a few other posts. The head of state was finished by my friend DRAGON FALL who's put together a DC Comics Tarot Main Arcana set (well, highest of the Main Arcana, but I'm more exactly positive the others are coming absolutely). Static if you're not a DC Comics fan, the images are perfectly pretty and so excessively appropriate!

I very equitable for a Reckon Unicorn Movie star Come to blows community called DREAMOFTOMARROW. A measure back, we had a series of contests, creating icons for each of the Main Arcana. The winners of this series can be found roundabouts.

Enjoy!

Indigo Angel Oracle Cards Oracle Card Review

Indigo Angel Oracle Cards Oracle Card Review

INDIGO ANGEL ORACLE CARDSORACLE CARD REVIEW

Merry Meet :)))))) As many of you know I have quite the collection of Tarot and Oracle card decks. I adore the artwork and the cards. I recently picked up the Indigo Angel Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue and I am loving it! If you are new to the tarot or working with the cards, Oracle cards are a great place to start. I particularly love Doreen Virtue's work, because her messages and cards always have an amazingly beautiful energy on them and loving message.

This deck called out to me as soon as I saw the announcement of it's publication. Many of us are Indigos and Star Children. My son is a Crystal Child. If you are unsure what any of this is, there is an amazing website that helps to explain what Starchildren are. You can find it here: http://www.starchildren.info/ You hear me say that we are highly sensitives and lightworkers all the time, Starchildren is another term to describe who we are and what we do, so if you've not had the chance to learn about them, that website is a great place to start.

Back to the cards! Knowing Doreen Virtue and her work, I expected these cards to resonate highly with me and I was not disappointed. Doreen worked on this deck with her son Charles who is an Indigo.

"The term Indigo refers to strong-willed, intuitive leaders of all ages. Indigos have an inborn ability to sense whether someone is telling them the truth or not, and they only respect people who are honorable, regardless of age, title, or rank. Because of their nonconformity, Indigos often buck the system...which is part of their global mission to bring truth and integrity to this world.

Whether you're an Indigo or someone who loves or cares for one, the angels give extra guidance to support the important work of Indigos. The angels' messages help such individuals with every aspect of their personal and professional lives. " - Doreen and Charles Virtue

After perusing the cards they definitely do deal with a lot of issues that we will encounter on our path. The messages are very helpful in navigating your way on your path. I would recommend drawing one card each morning and asking your guides to show you the card that is the message they want you to know on that day. This helps to facilitate communication between you and your guides and open your intuition to hearing them clearer when they wish to give you messages.

If you would like to grab a copy of the deck you can get it here: Indigo Angel Oracle Cards

Below I have put some of the cards for you to take a peek at. :))))

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Daily Draw The Sun Seven Of Wands Ace Of Swords

Daily Draw The Sun Seven Of Wands Ace Of Swords
Three of the four cards you'll see on my blog today came up for a sitter Ihad the another, but the message was completely different. That is one of the beauties of tarot, same cards, different context, and a whole new story! Love tarot so much, for this and many reasons! Deviant Moon Tarot- The Sun, Seven of Wands, Ace of SwordsThe Sun is casting an illuminating light of the frantic, lost figure of the Seven of Wands, who is separated from her unconscious self, as evidenced by the dark forest, and that she is running towards the dark twins of The Sun card, who are beckoning her and want her to be fully awake. The Ace of Swords is a guiding angel, but she may be getting a little fed up with her words being ignored, so she might be ready to show a little tough love. For me, I have been frantic about a lot of things- my kids' schedules, a rough football season for my boy, my back, my business, this stupid mediation that just keeps going on and on. I gotta get a more positive attitude before I get a cosmic backhand. So, when I get a great idea today, or many, I will write them down and pursue them, not tell myself it's too stupid or I can't do it.Deviant Moon Tarot- Eight of PentaclesThe Shadow Card is the Eight of Pentacles, which tells me this about work, making my eight hour every day. A good family, a successful business, writing a novel, those things don't just happen. You have to do the work. Well, every day when I recover, but there are lots of things I can do in bed. Like write this blog post. Brainstorm. Redo my business plan. Add to marketing ideas. I can see these are very positive cards with good, uplifting advice I intend to take. See, tarot is not always about fortune telling. It is therapy, cheap and fast, and it is a great giver of advice."These cards are from Deviant Moon Tarot by Patrick Valenza, published by U.S. Games, Systems, Inc."

Tarot Cards For Beginners Beginning Your Journey To Know Your Future

Tarot Cards For Beginners Beginning Your Journey To Know Your Future

By Koz Huseyin

Tarot cards and the ability to divine is an amazing skill to have. Tarot cards allow us to peer into past, present and future and find answers which sometimes can be hard or next to impossible to find.

* Tarot Card Basics

Tarot cards are cards that allow you to divine. That is to look into something and learn more about it. So, you can find out about topics or questions on your mind, or what others have as questions and are in need of answers.

Tarot cards are a set of cards which when shuffled bring the enquirer an answer. This is usually through intuition. The cards have different meanings, and the symbols are designed to stir up something in the unconscious mind that brings the answers or intuition. Though some people also believe that answers are from God, higher spirit, angels, etc.

The cards are accurate in the information they provide. However, you may not be! This brings us to the 2 type of Tarot card readers, in what I term the Tarot card reader and the diviner.

The Tarot card reader is someone who has just began in the journey of Tarot. At first, when you begin, you will need to look at the book and find the meaning of the cards. However, I believe this does not give the most accurate information for our questions, as these meanings are only a loose guide.

The diviner is someone who has excelled in there ability to pierce the veil and find the answers they seek through the use of intuition. It can take many years to get to this stage. However, every time that you divine, you will get better and better. This all depends on your spiritual evolution at this time. Some people have great intuition when they begin reading the cards, while others have to spend years, and yet others may not quite be able to connect in a whole lifetime.

* First Steps To Buying A Set Of Tarot Cards

My first set of Tarot cards were not expensive, in fact they cost the equivalent of a few dollars! When beginning your journey of divining with Tarot cards, realize that you do not have to invest in an expensive set of Tarot cards, you can easily start with a low priced beginners Tarot card set, and then once you feel you want to continue on this amazing path, then you can invest in a more expensive set.

* Tarot Card Tips And Care

It is best to find a tarot card set that meets your needs. That is, as a beginner you will need a book that tells you about Tarot, and also the spreads. The spreads are how you lay the cards to find the answers you need. Different spreads are used for different purposes.

How To Bless Your Reading Cloth Tarot

How To Bless Your Reading Cloth Tarot

A Lively Dead even Long curtains

Factual readers of this blog donate acknowledgment that I deem in black and white about the consequence of blessing your tarot-cards as well as unqualified a ritual for this sketch.

But, today I would extravagant to swagger to you about your reading cloth. A reading cloth is the cloth in which many readers mantle their tarot-cards, or other forecast tool and which serves serves two vital purposes. They are:

* To protect your tarot cards from coarseness, dirt, and negative energy in the function of they are not in use.
* To provide a clean, untouched ending on which one's cards are laid at home the course of a reading.

By means of the many superstitions on all sides of tarot cards, one of the greatest steadily obliging beliefs is that one's tarot cards "want be wrapped in black silk" and stored in a affected box (never metal). The deduction present-day is that if you do not mantle your cards in black silk and store them in a affected box, plus they donate get unclean by ambient negative energy and no longer work capably for you.

In my personal practices, I deem never abundantly done this individually. My cards deem been stored in their untested box, in affected boxes, or even in a celebrated cardboard box. The cloths I deem recycled deem been ready of silk, cotton, and false cloths and they deem come in a broad grasp of colors; and I deem not found that the construct in which I store my cards deem had any enormous negative effect on my warrant to read with them.

It is my personal belief that such superstitions on all sides of the tarot add to its mysteriousness and that they are solely unaffected if you steal in them. That is not to say, nevertheless, that community who wish to hold rituals participating in their formula cannot or essential not be approved to do so. In the middle of that in empathy, I'd extravagant to separate with you a means for which I put together the cloths in which I store my tarot cards and lay them upon at home readings.

* a clean white handkerchief or rag.
* considerably water
* kosher brackish
* Seer Chance Oil

To start with, operate a clean white handkerchief and souse it in considerably water to which you deem other half a cup of kosher-salt and 9 move quickly of Seer Chance Oil. Let the handkerchief souse in this brackish water overnight, at home a Lush Moon.

The taking into account day, gently ring out the handkerchief and place it outskirts wherever it donate dry in the clean air and ray of sunlight. Formerly the handkerchief is fully dry, add a move quickly of Psychic-Vision Oil to the four corners and focal point of the cloth. Absolutely, mantle your tarot-card in your just tally cloth and store it mumbled comment in the function of not in use.

If you kindness, you can refinement this ritual by the enlightenment of candles, incense, chanting, prayers, etc...but this is not looked-for. Metaphorically, you deem restricted your cards with a "white-light" of protection, in aristocratic practical jargon, nevertheless, the lingering brackish gone in the handkerchief donate act as a guard against negative energy and the psychic theory donate soak the cards with a balmy toilet water which overtime your empathy donate companion with the practice of reading your cards pretty your experiences with them.

Blessings,

Bang present-day to read aristocratic about Tarot and Foresight.

Tarot The Star Meanings And Symbolism

Tarot The Star Meanings And Symbolism
My favourite part of the Christian Nativity story has always been the bit about the star guiding the Three Magi to Bethlehem to visit the newborn child Jesus, the symbol of light returning to the world. So, on Christmas Eve, I thought I might write about the meaning of the Star card in Tarot.

In most modern Tarot decks the picture for the Star shows a woman kneeling on the bank of a pool or river, dipping one foot into it. She holds two jugs and is pouring liquid from one onto the land and from the other into the water. Above her shine the stars in the night sky - one of them is usually much brighter than the rest. In older decks, the woman is often shown gesturing at a large star above her head (you can see an example of the Star from the Bacchus Tarot in the left in the row of cards at the top).

The card is a symbol of optimism and is often interpreted as representing the a renewal of hope for the future after troubled times. In the picture the land represents the material world while the water represents the subconscious. The woman stands on both, while the pitchers represent integration of the elements.

The star itself is a small light in the darkness, and it can guide us to greater spiritual awareness as well as to emotional happiness and also material success. If we choose to follow our star, wherever it may lead us, we can be sure we will eventually find the goal of our journey even though the path is not yet completely clear and what we find at the end may not be exactly what we expect.

This is a perfect card to represent the time just after the Winter Solstice, when the nights are still long, but the days are slowly lengthening. Hope - and a new springtime - lie ahead.

"The cards in the picture are from the Tarot Flamand, also known as the Bacchus Tarot and which was designed in the 18th Century, the Robin Wood Tarot,a Tarot deck from the early 1970s produced by Reiss Games and The Crystal Tarot."

Deck Review Tarot Of The Absurd

Deck Review Tarot Of The Absurd

Tarot of the Absurd

Today I have a cunning and adorable deck to review, The Tarot of the Absurd. I previously posted about the deep and sweet joy I had experienced in receiving this deck, and now I am finally getting around to sharing it with all of you.

This another self published deck, by Jessica Rose Shanahan, printed in the USA in a totally black and white theme, with clean lines and her distinct style. I hesitate to quirky, because I feel like I use that word a lot, but I have concluded that I am drawn to quirky decks, and that is why I review so many, and so it is just fine.

And this deck "is" quirky. Shanahan's sparkling personality comes through in her chosen medium of black and white, art deco flavored cards. The white figures against the black background creates negative space for the mind to fill with the readers own distinctive interpretation of the symbolism.

If you check out my previous post about the Tarot of the Absurd, you will see how delighted I was with every aspect of the deck the day it arrived, and it is still a joy to unwrap, hold, and use. My deck came in a protective cardboard slide decorated with the same design as the backs of the deck, wrapped with black and white ribbon. Every part of this deck has been considered and handled with care by the creator.

Tarot of the Absurd - Back

The cards are a thinnish matte stock with a light lamination, easily shuffled and easy to hol at 3 inches by 5 inches. They lack a border altogether, and are backed with a beautiful striped design of mostly white.

Tarot of the Absurd - The Moon

The Major Arcana contains 22 numbered and labeled cards, including two versions of The Moon. You will find Strength at 8, with Justice at 11, and The Magician has transformed into "Alchemist" in this whimsical version. Most of the images frankly bear little resemblance to any tarot tradition I am aware of, yet you do not even have to squint to see familiar meanings. These kinds of decks, which seem simple in theory but are apparently difficult to execute, which follow traditional tarot meanings but manage to convey them in a wholly new and unique way, tend to be my favorites.

The four suits are represented by Sticks, Cups, Blades, and Coins. The Court Cards are Page, Knight, Queen and King. Like the Majors, there are nods to more "traditional" tarot images, but they are rendered in the artists' own unique style and with her twist on the meanings, and they are easily readable by readers from many schools. There are a few highly stylized breasts and buttocks, and the faint suggestion of mild violence that is common in some of the Wands and Swords cards, but nothing offensive or scary. There has been a distillation of each card to the essential essence, but the images are all quite active and the artwork itself looks fluid, flowing, and elegant.

Tarot of the Absurd

This is a good deck for people who like black and white and borderless decks. It is a good deck for intuitives who click with the art because they will not be fighting with words or forced symbolism. It is a great deck for collectors, and perfect for people who prefer their decks not be straight clone decks of one of the major traditions. It is not a great deck for people who prefer more traditional style imagery, or who want an in depth book to study or have clear answers provided for what each card means in context. Some people may prefer to have more (or any) color or more going on in the pictures.

Tarot of the Absurd

At the Barefoot Fool website, Ms. Shanahan has provided more of her own insights and thoughts about the deck, including some of her process and some tidbits only the creator can provide. This is also where you will find your own deck to bring home is a very sweet package to brighten your day.
